NEP Group, the worldwide outsourced technicalproduction partner supporting premier content producers of live sports andentertainment, announced today its acquisition of NewZealand’s NZ Live, an Auckland-based,independent playout, outside broadcast and studio provider. Theacquisition provides NEP entry into the New Zealand broadcastingmarket and strengthens its position as an industry leader in broadcastservices, live events and media solutions. 

NZ Live’s operationprovides 24/7 multi-channel playout, outside broadcasting and studio productionservices to several clients throughout the region,operating four television studios and two outside broadcast mobile units. NZLive will be rebranded as NEP and work closely with the company’s NEP Australiadivision.

NZ Live’s currentowners—Ray Standidge, Tony Parton and Roger Randle—will stay on as part of thebusiness for two years, while Oliver Pitkin continues in his role as GMreporting to Soames Treffry, President of NEP Australia.
